Happy Monday and hooray for pretty weather that looks like it’s here to stay!
(Did I just jinx it?! :x )
Another very relaxing and pretty weekend under our belts! Also, I had Starbucks all three days so even if it wasn’t a pretty and relaxing weekend….it probably still would’ve been a good one.
We started Friday morning off with an hour long bike ride. It was Olivia’s second time on the bike (her first time will be posted this Wednesday! ;) and she just really loves it. I actually love how much she loves it. We found that a little street a couple blocks from our house leads directly onto this huge trail so we just kind of explored it a bit.
We stopped at a 711 to get a couple water bottles and Dominic came out with a nutri-grain bar for Olivia. We didn’t even make it out of the parking lot and it was already gone!
When we got home, we all had a little lunch, and then Olivia must’ve gotten a lot of fresh air because right after lunch, she knocked out for two hours!
A friend of mine needed someone to watch her little son on Friday’s, so I volunteered. His name is Odin and he is so adorable. It is SO crazy how polar opposite he is of Olivia, but it was also so fascinating to see the two of them interact. Odin is obviously a little more rough, being a little boy, where Olivia is very calm and gentle. She kept trying to hug and kiss Odin the entire time he was here and he was just NOT having it, it was so funny!
I decided to take them outside while the sun was out and of course they just ran around, her trying to play with him, him playing with sticks and mud.
They’re both just so freakin cute.
And then we came inside and ate dinner, then Odin fell asleep for an hour and when he woke up, we ate fruit and just hung out watching cartoons and playing with toys.
She is OBSESSED with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. My girl, through and through.
And they ended the night SO worn out!
God, I love that picture.
I think that it’s going to be so fun to have little Odin around. They’re both only children, so I think they’ll learn a lot from each other!
Oh and daddy brought us home some Starbucks. We love us a Chai Tea Latte, venti style.
Saturday morning we all slept in until around 10:45. Actually, I woke up to this beaut at 10am.
I have no idea how she got there.
Then at 11, Dominic wanted burgers for brunch. He was outside grilling and I heard him say, “no baby, you don’t have any shoes on, I’ll be right inside.” Olivia was standing by our back door just staring at him, longing to be out there. I guess I could’ve hurriedly put her shoes on, but really, where’s the fun in that? I said, “Just take her outside with you, they’re just pajamas, if she gets them dirty, well, we’re gonna wash them anyway!” When he took her outside, you should’ve seen the look on her face. She was like, “really? You’re going to let me play outside? In my pajamas….with no shoes on?!” Why, yes baby girl, yes we are. Plus, it was kinda cute watching her run around in her little footie jams talking to the neighbor and shuffling across the grass.
After we came inside and ate lunch, we were sitting at the table and I said, “man, I could really go for a chai tea latte right now.” (like I haven’t had one in weeks………..) and so we decided to spontaneously drive to Starbucks in our jams, which actually worked out in our favor because Olivia fell back asleep for her nap!
And then she woke up hungry:
And then my sister and my dad stopped by for a little while.
My sister didn’t stay very long, and when her boyfriend came to pick her up, she brought Olivia outside with her to say hi. Olivia was only in a diaper and of course she fell, and scraped her little knees and big toe. It was so funny because she looked like she wanted to cry but kept looking at me like, “I’m not gonna cry mama, I’m not gonna cry!” And she didn’t! My baby.
After a few hours, my dad was hungry and well, it was Saturday, so we walked to pick up a pizza. At one point, Olivia wanted to carry the box home. One day, baby girl.
And then our friends Amanda and Angel stopped by on Angel’s really cool motorcycle. Although Olivia didn’t think it was too cool….
They stayed for a few hours and really wore Olivia out (thanks guys!)! She fell asleep almost immediately after I laid her down in the crib!
On Sunday Dominic’s parents came over.
I love when they come over because we always have the most interesting conversations. We had turkey burgers for lunch, and then they took her outside while I stayed in listening to music and editing pictures. Oh, and we also had more Starbucks :) They stayed all day, we ate, talked wedding, made a little dessert and ended out time with them by going for a walk. It was the most relaxing day of them all, which is why I didn’t take many pictures, but I always feel like these Weekend Reviews have too many pictures, anyway.
How was your weekend?
