Finally things are getting back to a routine around these parts….for the most part, anyway.
Olivia is still waking up in the middle of the night, screaming bloody murder, scaring the hell out of Dominic and me. When we go in to get her, she is shaking, and scared. I’m glad that we get to go to the doctor on Tuesday, so he can reassure me that this is all well and normal.
Anyway, other than that, this weekend was great. Besides Olivia still being a little scared, her health is back to normal, and we spent a lot of time outside, enjoying the beautiful weather.
It stayed in the high 70s this weekend, and Olivia and I are definitely not complaining. If Summer is already over, we are totally okay with that.
Friday was a total chill day. We went to Target, went for a nice walk, took baths, and read stories before bed.
Saturday, Dominic got to drive a Lamborghini. His best man, David, bought him the ticket as a little bachelor party gift. Dominic was in Heaven. Afterward, he had to go to work and Olivia and I had our car so we spent the day driving around visiting everyone, enjoying the beautiful breeze, windows down, tunes up. We ended the night at Dominic’s parent’s house, where we had a bonfire complete with s’mores. So good.
And on Sunday, we had another relaxing day. It was gorgeous out, so Olivia and I had a little Mama/Daughter morning walking around our Town’s little Downtown area. We stopped to visit a friend of mine, and then we drove to the mall to meet Dominic’s parent’s for lunch and some shopping. Once Dominic got home from work, we picked him up to go back downtown. We walked around, visited my sister, got coffee. It was the most perfect fall day. We even made a quick trip to Target again ;)
I just wish that since it’s practically Fall outside, the Pumpkin drinks would just come out already. There are two things I wait for every year. The pumpkin muffins from Dunkin Donuts (if you don’t have a DD where you are…let me know..I will find a way to send you one because you HAVE to try it!), and the Pumpkin Chai Tea from Caribou coffee….although I just discovered the chai tea last year, I have been looking forward to it ever since.
And a few photos from our fantastic weekend:
/\ She was just sitting there, having a conversation with herself\/
/\She fought hard for those balloons!\/
^She wanted that cup as soon as we stepped into the Disney Store. We filled it with Chai Tea and she was in heaven!^
Dominic goes on his bachelor party trip this week, I’ve got a few girl’s nights planned, lots of wedding stuff, and I’m finally going to purchase a Clarisonic on Tuesday! Does anyone have it? I have heard from a few people that they LOVE theirs, so I’m really excited to finally have my own!
Have a good first week of August (HOW is it already August?!)!
