I absolutely love weekends where you just kind of go with the flow. One of my biggest pet peeves is feeling rushed, and most of our weekends are just that. However this one was nice and flow-y :)
Friday evening Olivia and I went out with my friend, Steph, to buy me a bachelorette party outfit….my party is this Saturday and I am so excited! We got coffee, shopped, came home, and when I checked the mail, I got a very exciting package from Sephora…..my Clarisonic!! I have been contemplating getting on for about 6 months (not even kidding!) and I finally made the purchase. Unfortunately it needs to be charged for a full 24 hours before first use, so I had to wait until Saturday to try it out. Steph and I talked wedding a little, and then I put Olivia to sleep, did my workout, showered and by then Dominic was home from a super long day so we both passed out!
Saturday we woke up early and went to Target. As soon as we got inside, Olivia rubbed her belly and said, “Yummies?”. Even though she had breakfast, our baby was still hungry and I always feel SO bad when she asks for food. Like I don’t feed her enough. Anyway, we literally walked in and out of Target, got back in the car, and went to go get our baby some food!
We had a nice lunch date at Chipotle, and when we were finished, we decided to walk it off around Downtown Lagrange, stopped for some coffee for me, tea for Olivia and then we had to go home so Dominic could get ready for work! :( A little later in the evening, my dad picked us up and we went to the mall for a little more shopping, walking around, and just hanging out :)
And on Sunday, we went to Dominic’s parent’s house for pasta. I can honestly say that I can’t even remember the last time I had spaghetti and meatballs, but I think I ate enough meatballs to make up for lost time. They’re just so good. Dominic’s mom’s side of the family was there, too, and we stayed there all afternoon laughing, eating, talking wedding (what are we all gonna talk about after this wedding is over?!) Dominic went to work, and Olivia ended our evening with a quick trip to Target with Dominic’s parents. They have the fall baby clothes out and I have to always contain myself because there are sooo many things I want from there already. I was able to walk out of there with one pair of black and white striped leggings that cost me 5 bucks. I can never resist anything that’s black and white, or something that has stripes on it!
We have another slew of productive wedding projects set for this week. I cannot believe that we’re in the 20s with this countdown. 26 more days. So insane. Dominic and I are going to get our Marriage License on Wednesday evening. Things are getting really real around here!!
Anyone do anything fun this weekend or have anything planned for this week?
P.S. Still looking for a few guest bloggers for the beginning of September. I am putting together a small questionnaire about Marriage so if you’re interested, let a sister know!
P.P.S. You still have 2 more days to enter the $100 dollar Target Gift Card Giveaway!!
