Hello! I am Sarah and I blog over at Dreaming About Baby. I am excited to be guest posting while Katie is off getting married!
Since Katie is getting married, I will tell you about my marriage to Micah. We met at a bar (seriously) in 2002 and we’ve never looked back. Micah proposed in 2005 and we were married in 2007. In some ways it feels just like yesterday!
In honor of Katie’s wedding, here are some questions she asked:
In your opinion, what is the best thing about Marriage?
The best thing is knowing that we committed the rest of our lives together. I will get to wake up next to Micah for the rest if my life and I cannot wait. He’s really my best friend.
What’s the hardest?
Big changes such as the birth of our daughter have put our relationship to the test and changed it. Bringing a child into our lives has tested us, caused strain but strengthened our relationship. There is no one else I would want to tackle this parenting thing with.
Has Marriage changed you? How?
Marriage really didn’t change me. I think I would be sad if by getting married I changed. I am still the same girl that I was when we first met- although I have different goals and priorities- I am still me.
Since being Married, what is one happy memory you have?
I have a ton but one of my favorites is waking up the morning after our wedding – I was so happy, so in love and in awe that I was married to my best friend.
Are there any special traditions that you and your hubby have started since you’ve been married?
Not really- we go out to eat for our anniversary each year to a new restaurant but nothing crazy.
What’s one piece of Marriage advice you can offer to us?
Let go of the little things. Often Micah and I get into a disagreement and instead of hanging in to them, we let them go because at the end of the day, it’s just small stuff.
Thank you for sharing, Sarah! Make sure to stop and say hello to Sarah over at her blog, Dreaming about Baby!
