This weekend we really pretty much did nothing. Friday we kinda lazed around in our pjs, watched movies, practiced the alphabet and made a quick trip to Target with my sister. Saturday was our most exciting day because we went to Legoland for a birthday party. I won’t lie, it was a huge disappointment, we really thought it was gonna be so much more extravagant, but Olivia enjoyed herself and in the end, that’s all that really matters.
Although Saturday was the busiest, my favorite day was Sunday. Olivia and I spent the morning with my sister, and then Dominic’s parents came over for dinner. We had turkey tacos and delicious mini cinnamon rolls for dessert. After they left, the 3 of us had a little indoor family date night. We played catch, stacked up blocks, ran around the house and before Olivia went to sleep for the night, we decided to let her choose a movie to watch. She chose a Mickey Mouse Christmas Movie.
She really is my child.
The movie was just long enough to get her the perfect amount of tired, and I guess it worked for us too because after we showered, we went right to sleep.
I love our little family of three so much.
This week is going to be super busy! Olivia’s second birthday is on Friday and I am so excited to stay in, just her and I (Dominic has to work), eat cake and just enjoy her birthday. And then Saturday is her party and although she has no idea, I tell her every day that it’s going to be her birthday soon! I think once every one is finally here and we sing happy birthday to her, she’ll get the idea.
