The only place where you really can get sunshine, rain, and then snow all in one day.
The other day, that’s exactly what happened. It was nice and bright, then cloudy and rainy, and then right before you knew it- snow.
And it was falling pretty hard. I found myself saying, “I wish it hadn’t just rained so that the snow would stick.” (don’t hate me for loving snow) But to my surprise, it actually did start to stick. I was driving around doing errands when it started snowing hard, and Olivia slept in the back, clueless to our first snow, smack dab in the middle of fall.
We finally got to a destination where I needed to wake her up and she looked around at all the snow and she got super happy. I put her down to let her walk around in it and she just stared at it falling all over her face and her black boots.
I kept saying, “Olivia! Look at all of this snow!!!”
Olivia kept pointing at it and replying, “Snowman! Snowman!”
I kept trying to explain to her that it was just called snow, but she insisted that it was snowman.
Or, “Sho-maaaaan”. Even better.
So maybe the title of this post should be A Baby and Her First Fall-Sho-maaaaan Day.
It may not look like a lot, but for us, it was the perfect amount.
Sho-maaaan, we are ready for you :)
