This past summer, Dominic’s parents got Olivia her first pair of rain boots. At the time, they were wayyyy to big on her, so they sat in her closet for a long while. Finally about two weeks ago, I put them back on her to see how much her foot grew, and she cried. She didn’t like them on her feet. At first I was sad, but I didn’t push it.
Just this past Friday, it rained a little bit in the morning and there were puddles all in the back of our house. We were heading out for the day, and since Olivia and I were ready and waiting on Dominic (you read that right) I decided to put her boots back on, and explain to her that we were gonna go jump in the water.
Needless to say, she didn’t cry that time.
Anyway, we were out there for a good 15 minutes, splashing from puddle to puddle.
And then we hopped in our pre-warmed car, and went on with our day.
It was a nice way to begin our Friday, and I hope that every time she wears those boots, she jumps in every puddle in her sight.
Happy Puddle Jumping!
