Mondays are rough, always, but Mondays after a nice long Holiday weekend are seriously the worst. I just slept 10 hours and I feel like I still haven’t caught up on sleep!
The only good thing about this particular Monday is that it is of the Cyber sort! I’ve never really participated in Cyber Monday, but this year I am. In fact, I’ve already bought Olivia’s Christmas gift…..which I’m super excited about by the way.
Anyway, I was going to include Thanksgiving deets in this post, but decided to wait until Wednesday…however, we still did a few fun things other than stuff our faces with Turkey this weekend.
Saturday Olivia and I went with my in-laws to get a Christmas Tree. I’ve never been to a Christmas Tree farm before so it was kinda cool to see acres and acres of Christmas Trees, each one so different from the next. Olivia liked running through the rows of trees yelling, “Trees!” and I just kept wishing Dominic was there (he had to work). The idea of a real Christmas Tree is nice, but they’re so prickly, and knowing I have a little toddler at home who touches everything, I’d have to really search for a softer needled one.
After we were done, we met Dominic at the house had some dinner, helped them put the lights on the tree, went for ice cream and then the 3 of us came home. Dominic and I were seriously SO exhausted, so we decided to all take quick showers, and then we all snuggled in our bed and watched Lilo and Stitch on the computer. Dominic has never seen that movie before, Olivia and I were in shock. After it was over, we said “good night movie!” and we were all out cold by 10:30pm. We let Olivia sleep in our bed with us and it was actually really nice. We slept a whole 11 hours :x
Sunday Olivia and I went to a house-warming party/Chicago Bear’s party at my friend, Alexis’ new house, and then we left around 3 to go pick up my dad at the airport. He was in Mexico for 2 weeks, but it felt like forever. We’re so glad he’s back! We took him back to our house, had some dinner, listened to a few of his stories and then him and my sister left for the evening.
Family-filled weekend :)
Dominic and I sat down and talked about our schedules for the month of December and we are literally booked every Saturday and Sunday of this month. SO CRAZY.
Anybody else crazy booked?! Or should the question be, who ISN’T completely booked this month?7
