Olivia got a lot of really awesome gifts for her birthday. But we’re gonna talk about one in particular today. The gift from my Sister.
Side note: I totally told my sister that Dominic and I were going to buy this for Olivia for Christmas, but she surprised us with it for her birthday instead!
A few months ago while we were shopping at the motherland (AKA Target), I saw this easel and I said to Krysti, “Oh my god, that is PERFECT for Olivia for Christmas. I am totally going to come back and buy that for her!”
Yes, an easel. And it really is perfect.
It’s called the Cra-Z-Art and this baby has more than one party trick. In fact, it’s actually got 4:
A chalk board side.
A dry erase board side.
A roll of paper at the top so that she can paint, draw with big girl markers (still gotta earn our trust for that one though!), or even crayons.
And it has 5 different storage bins for things!
Told ya it was perfect.
When we put it together for Olivia, she was just in awe. It’s kind of humongous, especially because she’s such a little shrimp, but she loves it. She uses both sides all the time and for the most part, puts everything back when she’s done.
We’ve only had two incidents so far: she dried out her first pack of dry erase makers because she wouldn’t put the lids back on the right way (now we only give her one or two to play with at a time) and she drew on our wall with chalk right around Thanksgiving, but after we explained to her that she couldn’t do that, she hasn’t even tried it since.
I utilized the organizer bins by putting a few of her favorite books, some coloring books, and a bag of crayons down there and she knows exactly where things go and when we ask her to clean up, it’s almost never an issue, which I love.
This is a great gift because it’s definitely something that can grow with her, and I love that it’s wood! Oh and also, it’s on sale right now for 60 bucks! Hello, awesome Christmas gift!
