I know what you guys are probably thinking.
“Who does this girl think she is posting on a Sunday?”
Believe me, I’m thinking that, too.
I’ve obviously been slacking on my blogging game, otherwise these would have already been done and posted, so now that I have time, I’m sitting down to write this last craft post of the year (since I’m known to do so many, she says sarcastically).
Anyway, I was sitting at the table one afternoon and I saw gold pipe cleaners that I used for Olivia’s Angel costume a few weeks ago. I started to make one into a swirl and a genius little holiday craft was born.
Genius and easy.
I decided to NOT burst my own bubble by googling whether or not this was already a well-known holiday craft, so if this is old news, I’m sorry!
But there you have it Cute, simple, and inexpensive. Just how I like my crafts.
The best part about this craft is that it’s perfect for little toddler grabby hands. If they ruin them, it takes about a second to make more. Why does it seem that they get even more curious around the holidays when all of these glass ornaments are on the trees and there’s decorations everywhere?
Actually I can’t even lie and act like I don’t get it. Sparkly, bright, beautiful Christmas decorations are just begging to be touched.
So basically all you’ll need are a few pipe cleaners of your choice, and a pen or pencil (you’ll literally need the pen/pencil for like a second)
Here we go:
Then, you’re going to push through the middle, and pull it out veryyyyy gently.
How cute are they?!
And then I just put them around the house to add a little touch of Christmas where there wasn’t any! (Don’t mind the dust everywhere….I could’ve cleaned it before taking the picture but….#reallife
And last night, we had our annual Christmas Dinner with my dad and sister, so I decided to make them for cute decorations to put on top of each plate!
And there you have it. Easiest last minute decoration ever. Unfortunately, Olivia was too small to participate, but if you have older kids, I’m sure this would be a fun activity to include them in!
It’s so sad how many house I’ve seen or been into that have NO decorations up at all. If you are one of those people PLEASE do me a favor and make these. Christmas is in two days, for pete’s sake, get into the spirit!
P.S. Thank you to my very handsome husband for being my hand model ;)
