“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
Olivia: When we first started brushing your teeth, you absolutely loved it. Then, about two months ago, you did a complete 180 and started to really despise when it was time to brush your teeth. You hated that I changed the flavor of your toothpaste, and I tried to change your toothbrush as well, but you sealed your mouth shut and wouldn’t open up until I switched back to your old one. Perhaps it was because of your “traumatic” experience at the dentist? Either way, I am happy to report that you really like to brush your teeth again. I think it may have something to do with you getting to use your own little cup to swish and spit out the water. The new (red) stool that we bought you this weekend definitely added to your excitement. In fact, tonight instead of me telling your it was time to brush your teeth, you asked ME. That’s progress if I ever saw it.
