I am slowly dying. Obviously, I’m not really dying…but right now it sure feels like it. I think I have strep….or a really bad cold, which is probably more likely what it is, if we’re not going the dramatic route. Either way. I am done for the day.
In fact, I’m done for the weekend, too. I’ll be back on Monday, just in time to share a really delicious taquito recipe, in honor of Cinco de Mayo. They are so good, I can’t wait to make them again. Speaking of Cinco de Mayo, maybe a few shots of tequila are what I need to feel better….
I already really do have the best medicine. My little babe. She is being so sweet. Dominic too. Tuesday night, he made cookies with Olivia. Yesterday morning he took her out for a little while (and surprised me with coffee when they came back!) and let me sleep in until 11am. Today he had to work the morning shift, but that means he’ll be home around 4, AKA we’ll probably snuggle on the couch with hot soup and Netflix all night. Olivia has been a little angel, letting me get as much rest as I can today. She woke me up this morning asking for “faghetti” (aka spaghetti) and really, who am I to deny her such a request? Especially since she’s been such a good girl. I think she secretly likes when I’m sick because she gets
a little a lot of extra TV/movie time, and we’ve been doing nothing but laying on the couch together. She keeps asking, “mama, are you okay?”.
As long as you keep all those forehead kisses coming, I should be better in no time, baby girl.
