This weekend was a lot of fun! The weather is still really up and down, but we didn’t let that stop us.
I was still a little sick on Friday, but I felt so bad for Olivia. I felt like she was so bored so I looked on Pinterest for an easy toddler activity to entertain her with! We made cloud dough and it kept her busy for a good hour and a half. That is a very good chunk of time for a sick mama! Seriously so easy to make. Just 1/3 cup of melted coconut oil and 1 1/2 cups of flour! Mix together in a huge zip lock bag and there ya go- Cloud dough! I gave Olivia a couple bowls, some measuring cups, a spoon and she used her little rolling pin and some cookie cutters that she got for Easter. She loved it!
Saturday it was so beautiful out. We woke up early and got coffee, and then met my sister and dad back at our house for an early cookout. Olivia picked a few dandelions and brought them inside. When she saw that I put them in a little make shift shot glass vase, she was motivated to pick some a few more. And by a few more I really mean like 20 more. She’s so funny! We had a Quinceanera (a Mexican cotillion) to attend in the evening, which at first I wasn’t really excited for…probably because Dominic couldn’t come because of work. But once we got there, we had a great time. They had a photo booth that me, my sister and Olivia took major advantage of and Olivia danced the night away, making pretty much everyone fell in love with her. It was also really nice to see family that I haven’t seen since I’ve been pregnant, and for them to meet Olivia! I didn’t want to take her out of the dress she wore because I love it so much on her.
Sunday, we woke up super early to meet Dominic’s parents for breakfast and then spent the morning with them! After breakfast, we went for coffee and then to check out this new set of groceries stores that are taking over the Chicagoland area called Mariano’s! Super cool grocery store and I cannot wait for them to finish building the one that is literally 5 minutes from my house. I read this article a few days before we actually went and it made me so excited! We ended the weekend with chocolate ice cream with with one of our favorite people, Stephanie.
