This week, we’ve got a little bit of a white/cream theme going on.
One of my favorite tricks, that I’ve actually learned from my friend Lauren, is to shop a few sizes up when buying clothing for your kids. When you can, anyway. This “dress” is the perfect example of that.
I found this beautiful dress in the older girl’s section. It’s a top, size XS. Right now, it hits Olivia at the perfect length to be a dress. In a few months when she gets taller, it can turn into a tunic, and then again into a regular shirt. I get so much use out of one piece of clothing. This doesn’t always work because sometimes the shirt can be too big around the neck or arms (I learned that from experience), but 9 times out of 10 it does, and I love going to the older girl’s section to try and find the perfect “dresses” for Olivia. In fact, I actually did the same thing with Olivia’s 4th of July dress. It’s like a game to me, ha!
Also, I really wish they had this dress in my size. Like, bad. I love it so much!

I won’t lie. I reaaaaaaaaaaally wanted this to be a dress as well. I even bought it i a 4T! It was just made to be a tunic. Because we’re in the yard for these pictures, she just has her panties on, but when we were out earlier in the day, I but some jeans shorts underneath. It’s just too short to be a dress, but so cute nonetheless! So thin for the warm summer days/nights, and I loveeee the detail!
