After we had our dinner rehearsal, Dominic and I went home so I could grab a quick bag and so that I could put Olivia to bed. We were starting really early the next day and I wanted her to be able to sleep longer, and in her own bed…..unlike me, who ended up sleeping on a chair.
I was so nervous that night that I just couldn’t sleep. I was away from Dominic and Olivia, which didn’t help, but mainly because, HELLO!, I was getting married in the morning. It was just my cousin and I, and since we couldn’t sleep, we took a random trip all the way to walgreens to buy her some nail polish. Ha! We came home, I painted her nails and then with like 4 hours left before I had to be up, we had finally fallen asleep. I’m glad I had her there with me, she calmed my nerves a little.
At least that night she did.
The morning of my big day, I was a nervous wreck. Seriously, I had these awful butterflies in my stomach all morning and then the girls came with coffee that didn’t help my stomach at all. They tried to be as upbeat as possible for my sake, but I was just way too nervous. In the best way, of course, but nervous nonetheless.
Although once my father-in-law came and brought me Olivia, I was instantly a little better.
It was seriously so awesome to have all of my best girls, in the same house, getting ready together, laughing together, taking loads of pictures together. It made the 6am morning wake up call a lot more bearable and the butterflies a lot more tolerable.
We had a total of about 6 hours to get ready, which still just didn’t seem like enough time, but we somehow pulled through just in time for the limo to pull up and take me and my girls to go get married!
